I was born in Mexico City and raised in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico and after finishing Highschool in the summer of 1994 I decided to come to San Antonio, TX to learn English. Little did I know that that flight to Texas was going to change my life, at the end of that summer all my family immigrated to SA. I love the saying “I was not born in Texas but I came as soon as I could”!!!! My family and I have lived in this amazing country ever since and all of us have made many dreams come true, we feel safe and free and consider this our country. When I get asked where I am from I used to say Mexico but now I know that I have lived here longer than in my home country so now I say, I am from Texas, I am a Texan!!!
A few years ago I came across Rapid Resolution Therapy and as soon I learned that has great results in the treatment of survivors of sexual trauma, PTSD and abuse I enrolled, got trained and have used it successfully seen great results with the people I served the majority were teenagers but I always had in my heart to work with veterans and active military people but never had the opportunity. This type of therapy helps people clear the ongoing effects of anxiety, panic disorder, insomnia, night-terrors, grief, heartbreak, betrayal, childhood abuse, sexual violence, shame, guilt, rage, anger, jealousy, and combat or first responder PTSD and I have seen miracles! I am so happy that after a short period of time about a year and a half in living in Miami, FL with my Shih Tzu dog “Shosho” God opened the door for me at Warriors Heart! I knew it was the place that I wanted to work at because of the people they serve. I have had in my heart since I can remember to help those that have sacrificed and given themselves so that I can have the life I have and the opportunities this country offers. I read a sign in one of the building that said welcome home and I knew I was home. Working in this place will make it very easy to leave the lovely beach behind. I did not apply anywhere else I was like if God wants me back, He knows that Warrior Heart would be the only place that I would want to work at. I am extremely thankful to God that Warriors Heart wanted me to be part of their team! I am truly blessed!!!
