My Why… Because I get to give back to the warriors who have sacrificed and gave so much for our country. No one, vets, first responders or civilians… NOONE deserves to be addicted to a substance that causes so much pain and grief. I want to help!! Someone took time with me, they listened to me, comforted me, inspired me, challenged me to go deep and find the spots that will release me from my addiction. Someone was intentional in helping me to see myself clearly, while helping me to understand that my trauma’s piled on top of each was my baggage, that I had carried for years and years and it was time to unpack!! Someone is searching for help for those same reasons. I wanted to help!! I wanted to stand with them and walk with them through their addiction safely. I simply want to help like someone did for me. I am candid and open about my personal struggles with addiction. There is no shame for me, and no shame for our warriors. We are all walking miracles who have been blessed with freedom from addiction and I know that my charge as a delivered, recovered addict is to deliver that message boldly and honestly. RECOVERY ON PURPOSE is how I choose to live today so that at any time I am prepared to carry the message to someone in need!!!
