TMS Brain Therapy: Advanced Treatment for Warriors

Non-invasive brain therapy for TBI, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

Your brain took hits. Blasts. Repeated exposure to trauma. Years of hypervigilance. Chronic stress that never fully shut off. The result is a nervous system stuck in survival mode. It shows up as brain fog, memory issues, depression, anxiety, sleep problems, irritability, and emotional reactivity.

At Warriors Heart, we offer the use of EEG/EKG guided therapy, an enhanced version of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), as part of our advanced treatment options for warriors dealing with traumatic brain injury, major depressive disorder, anxiety, and insomnia.

This is outpatient treatment available to Warriors Heart Alumni, active Warriors (Active Duty, Veterans, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMT/EMS), and immediate family members of qualifying Warriors.

What is TMS?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is FDA-approved treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. It’s non-invasive. No surgery. No medication. Just targeted magnetic stimulation that helps your brain communicate more efficiently.

At Warriors Heart, we use EEG/EKG guided therapy, an enhanced version of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The treatment plan is customized based on your brain’s specific patterns using EEG/EKG data. This personalizes pulse delivery and magnet placement for your unique needs.

Here’s how we explain it to warriors:

When brain networks aren’t communicating efficiently, the brain has to work harder. That shows up as anxiety, irritability, poor sleep, emotional overwhelm, and mental fog. TMS uses gentle magnetic pulses, guided by brainwave data, to help those networks communicate more smoothly again.

What Treatment Feels Like

You’re awake and seated comfortably during treatment. There is no sedation and no electrical shock. Just rhythmic magnetic stimulation. Non-invasive. No downtime.

Benefits of TMS

Improved Cognitive Function

Stimulating specific areas of the brain can improve memory, attention, and problem-solving abilities. Less brain fog. Sharper thinking. Better focus.

Reduced Symptoms

TMS lowers symptoms of anxiety, depression, and insomnia by improving the brain’s efficiency and communication between nerve cells.

Non-Invasive Treatment

No surgery. No medication. No downtime. Outpatient treatment that fits into your schedule.

Personalized Approach

TMS customizes treatment based on your brain’s specific patterns, making it more targeted and effective.

Creates a Window of Stability

TMS isn’t a miracle cure, and it doesn’t work for everyone. It’s not a permanent fix for all patients either. But it often creates a window of stability and clarity that allows therapy, recovery work, and healthy lifestyle habits to finally take root.

That combination of neuromodulation plus behavioral recovery is where we see the deepest, most lasting change.

Who Can Access TMS at Warriors Heart?

  • Active military, veterans, and first responders
  • Immediate family members of qualifying Warriors

Is TMS Right for You?

If you’re dealing with TBI, PTSD, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, or insomnia, TMS may help. This treatment works best when other approaches haven’t provided relief or when you’re looking for a non-medication option.

Consult with our medical team to determine if TMS is the right fit for your specific needs.

Off-Label Use

While TMS has shown potential benefits, the use of EEG/EKG guided therapy (MeRT), an enhanced version of TMS, is considered “off-label” use for conditions other than those TMS has been specifically approved for. It is crucial to understand that these applications are based on emerging research and clinical observations. Our use of TMS for conditions other than those FDA-approved for TMS is considered “off-label.” This includes its application for conditions like PTSD and certain anxiety disorders.
