My Why:

I have always been a nurturing, empathetic caretaker — roles that have guided me as a mother, a grandmother, and now in my work here. Having been through rehab myself, I understand the courage it takes to walk through those doors. My own journey in recovery has taught me to live one day at a time, and I’ve been blessed with years of sobriety because of it.

Alcoholics Anonymous and the people I’ve met along the way gave me not just sobriety, but a life worth living. That path led me to this community, and ultimately to this job, where I have the honor of walking beside our nation’s veterans and first responders as they begin their own journeys.

It is a privilege to share my experience, strength, and hope with these Warriors and to witness the first steps of their new lives. This work is more than a career for me — it is a calling, a way to give back what was so freely given to me
