Med Tech

Chris Medina was born and adopted in Junction City, Kansas. With a father who served in the Army for 30 years, Chris attended a different school every three years but got to Texas as fast as she could where Chris graduated from Holmes High School. Chris is a single mom with 3 amazing children, Tabitha, Alex and Sydney and 1 granddaughter Chloe.Chris was a medical assistant for 20 years but went to LVN school and graduated in 2009 from Schreiner University. She chose psychiatric nursing immediately, which is where her heart lies and is still doing today. She holds a full-time position at Kerr County Mental Health and serves at Warriors Heart on Weekends. Choosing to join Warriors Heart was an easy decision for Chris.  Her son followed her father’s footsteps and is serving as well. Chris is honored to serve our veterans and first responders.

Chris has two rescue dogs, a Tegu and bird. Family time is essential and has been a part of the same church for 21 years. You can find Chris cooking, dancing or anything outdoors on her spare time.

My Why:

Warriors Heart moved me the minute I learned about the organization. I knew I wanted to be a part of an organization that served those individuals who gave their all by serving us in many ways each day. What an Honor to serve these men and women…. I wanted to “give back. “

I have had personal experience and witnessed the difficulties of Chemical Dependency in my own family for 7 years. I have never met an individual that woke up and wanted this life, it just happens and its not an easy walk. Help in recovery is essential.  Warriors Heart welcomes all veterans and first responders with open arms and no judgement. The way recovery needs to begin. Let’s walk together.
