I was a Texas peace officer for over 17 years. I have been to countless calls for service; crashes, fires, family violence, shootings, drownings, homicides, suicides and too many other types to mention. I’ve seen things that most people couldn’t and shouldn’t have to see. Health problems and PTSD finally took its toll on me and I had to leave the profession I loved. But I found a new calling. A calling where I could still serve by serving the warriors that need help. When I first stepped into Warrior’s Heart, I met the staff and immediately felt comfortable. Like I was among a brotherhood again. Like I was among people who understood.
