My Why: Laura Lee Ellis

Laura Lee Ellis was born and raised in TEXAS! She has a true love for Texas and everything outdoors. She grew up hunting with her dad ( Ben Entler) in Utopia and always dreamed to live in the Hill Country. Back in 2009 that dream came true. “There is something about the stars at night, the rivers and the trees that make this place feel like home.” Laura Lee has 4 children, Brodee, Corben, Robbin and Wyatt. She got married  in Marble falls, TX to Kevin Ellis in 2018. “My children are my world!” She was told due to previously having cancer that she couldn’t have kids…….well, she beat those odds! “Life has many highs and lows, without both I wouldn’t be who I am”  Laura Lee’s Granddaddy was in the U.S. Army and was stationed in New Guinea during World War II. He was the skipper on the Air/Sea rescue boat, which picked up downed pilots. Laura Lee had influential men in her life, having the Dad and Paw Paw she had. She is absolutely obsessed with Dogs! Always has been. Named her first born Brodee Bear, after her first dog Bear. Currently has 4 dogs. Porkchop and Biscuit are corgis, Dayzee is an English Mastiff and Honey Badger is a Sheepadoodle. Laura Lee is also a foodie; she can name places to eat and what to get in many places. LOL

My Why:

Knowing that these men and women have put their lives on the line for us and to see many struggling is heartbreaking. I am honored to work at a company like this. Warriors Heart is like no other healing center. Everyone takes pride in working together to save lives, one hero at a time. I am extremely empathic and hearing the stories of our warriors and all the kindhearted words are life changing. I am so lucky to work at a place that genuinely cares about mental health.
