My Why: Michael Garcia

Michael Garcia was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Michael did not join the military but does come from a military family. Michael has been an LVN for 5 years and an RN for 3 years. Michael has 2 beautiful children and a loving wife (high school sweet hearts). Michael enjoys working on cars, camping at lakes, taking vacations at the beach and spending quality time with family/friends. Michael loves watching Marvel/DC movies, horror movies and suspenseful mini-series on Netflix. Michael Is a diehard Spurs/Cowboys fan. Michael is known to be an introvert but just give him time and he will open up.

My Why: 
I chose the path of healthcare because of my older brother Eric, who served as a Medic in the Airforce. He would tell me stories about providing emergency care to patients and it would aways sound so cool. My other brother Danny was an MP in the Army, though not in the medical field but gave me advice in choosing a career path. He told me to pick a career that would help or protect others. Being in the addiction field is very rewarding. The best part of working as an RN in detox, is seeing a patient recover from withdrawals and becoming themselves again.
