My Why: Regan Gombert

Regan Gombert
SUD Clinician

Regan Gombert was born in San Antonio, TX, and has been a lifelong resident. Guided by her love for God, family, and community, Regan is a devoted mother of three, a small business owner, and an avid animal lover. She has her LCDC‑I through the state of Texas and is working as a SUD Clinician with Warriors Heart. Regan has a deep passion for serving those who have devoted their lives to protecting others.

Her commitment to service was shaped early in life by two powerful role models. One grandfather served as a firefighter, embodying courage and selflessness, and her other grandfather served in the Navy during World War II. Their dedication, discipline, and sacrifice instilled in Regan a lifelong respect for the warrior community.

Her own journey in long‑term recovery has also strengthened her calling to give back to those who face both visible and invisible battles. Regan plans to continue her education and, one day, work with individuals experiencing co‑occurring disorders, thereby enhancing her capacity to support her clients.

My Why:

I feel called to serve those who have spent their lives protecting and serving others, often at great personal cost. I understand what it means to fight battles that are both seen and unseen because I have fought my own and found my way through long‑term recovery. That journey gave me not only a second chance at life, but also a responsibility to give back.

I also strive to model a life of recovery for my children, showing them that perseverance builds strength and that serving others is one of the greatest callings we can answer.
