My Why: Sasha Ricks

Sasha Ricks
Controller

Sasha was born in Houston and has lived in the area for most of her life. With over 24 years of experience in finance, she has worked her way up from a finance clerk to her current position as Controller, attributing her growth and success to the motivation and support of her husband.

Sasha married in high school, George, whom she loves dearly. They have been married for 26 years and have one child, George Jr., who is now 20. Sasha cherishes spending time with her wonderful husband, son, and dogs. She enjoys traveling across the United States, taking in the beauty of the country, swimming, fishing, and sightseeing. One of her travel goals is to see a bear in the wild.

My Why:

I moved around a lot when I was young. My father was an alcoholic, which made him an abusive man. My sister and I were very close, protecting each other as we grew up. When I was 11, my mother remarried a wonderful man who became the best dad ever.

I understand first-hand how addiction can affect loved ones, which is why I am committed to keeping the financials running smoothly for this great organization, Warriors Heart.
