My Why: Danielle Miller

Danielle Miller
Housekeeper

Danielle Miller grew up on the southside of San Antonio, Texas. She was originally planning on joining the airforce but sustained a physical injury that made that goal impossible. After a failed attempt at college Danielle found herself in the heavy equipment industry where she had a very successful 30 year career. After meeting her spouse of 28 years she moved to Bandera where they raised 3 children, and now enjoys 4 grandchildren.  Danielle loves traveling in her RV with her spouse and their 3 bulldogs. She plans to travel full time once she retires. She also enjoys riding motorcycles, playing the guitar, and studying WWII history.

My Why:

Although I had a successful career in the heavy equipment industry, I always felt like the work I did lacked meaning or purpose. I met so many amazing people but still never felt like I was giving back. I have several family members who have served in the military including my father, younger brother,  and grandfather, and I have always wanted to find a way to support our military and first responders. I feel like Warriors Heart gives me the opportunity to give back. To feel like I am part of something bigger than myself. As a housekeeper, I can do my small part to make sure the resident’s stay with us is comfortable and positive.  I am excited to be part of this team.
