Ryan W Hobus was born in Stillwater, OK and moved to Houston, TX when he was a year old. He was raised in nearby Friendswood, TX and graduated from Friendswood High School. After attending college in East Texas he moved back to Houston and spent the next 15 years living and working all over the city. In 2016 he moved to The Texas Hill Country, instantly falling in love with the area. He met the love of his life, Priscilla, in 2017 in Bandera, TX and was married a year later. He was also blessed through marriage with two wonderful young men Namiah & Isaiah. A self-proclaimed “city boy” who spent a lot of time in the country, he spent much of his free time with his family at his Grandparent’s Ranch in Centerville, TX. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, gardening, handyman work and taking care of the many animals on his two acres in Bandera.
My Why:
Having been in recovery for the last 15 years I can empathize with the Men & Women who come through these gates. I have been in their shoes more than once and can understand exactly how they are feeling: fearful, lost, anxiety-ridden and hopeless. Things I never want to feel again and only by the grace of God won’t. Its very rewarding to serve them and a special bonus that they are Men & Women in need who have dedicated their lives to serving others.
