My Why: Alexis Adamietz

Alexis is through-and-through a Texas native. Born in San Antonio, but raised in Bandera. Alexis is a descendant from one of the founding families of Bandera. She graduated high school from Bandera High. She started her after graduation life in the horse industry, working western dude ranches and representing the “Cowboy Capital Trail Riders” as their ’22-’23 Queen. Participating in charity and volunteer events, even riding in the San Antonio rodeo entrance.

Alexis has always been a part of a military family. Her stepmother, Whitney, was in the navy, and her grandfather also served. Her brother has committed to serve in the Navy.

In her off-time, she takes care of four horses. She has a German Shepherd at home that she has done obedience training with, which she’s always had a passion for.

My Why:

I’ve been blessed enough to see what my dog has done for me, as an emotional support dog. I’ve also had outside experiences seeing how task trained dogs help other people. I’m seeing this as a way to give back to the ones that have served us.
