My Why: Briar Cox

Briar Cox
CR

Briar was born in Henrico, VA and, in early years, lived in King William County before moving and settling in Caroline County. Briar was then homeschooled and excelled academically. Briar has always had a passion for farming. Living on a family owned farm with his mother and step-father made his dream come true. From combining to simply cutting the grass around the silos, Briar was living his dream. He has always loved deer hunting as well. Briar grew up hunting with his father and his two sisters. He has mastered cooking venison in various forms.

He has a passion for cooking and has exceptional culinary skills. During Briar’s senior year, he found a new passion. He enrolled into the Caroline Fire Academy and started a new journey. His new found love of volunteering has grown over the past year as he has fellow brothers and sisters who share the same love and passion to fight fires and help those in need.

My why:

In regards to My Why, being a Volunteer Firefighter, I have encountered numerous types of situations not only fire related. I have also been on certain medic calls that have shown to prove what addiction can do. Volunteering with Fire and Rescue fulfills my fire side of my passion, so I am excited to work with the team here at Warriors Heart to help on the Addiction and/or Trauma side of the spectrum as well. This in respect completes my circle. I hope to help these Warriors as they have helped each and every one of us at one point in time.
