Dave Coe was born and raised in Newtown, Pennsylvania before attending the U.S. Naval Academy and embarking on a 24 career as a Submariner in the U.S. Navy. Dave served on numerous submarines completing multiple overseas deployments including a Western Pacific deployment as Commanding Officer of USS KEY WEST homeported in Guam, USA. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and supporting his three teenaged children in their academic and athletic pursuits.

My Why:
I developed a passion for mental health through my own recovery from substance use disorder and PTSD. In retirement from the Navy, I am pursuing a new life purpose in helping others experiencing substance use disorders and other mental health challenges. I am a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and am completing a Master’s degree at William & Mary to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I believe in the value of lived experience and enjoy the opportunity welcome Warriors home and provide hope in helping them understand they are not alone.
