My Why: Sara Johnson

Sara Johnson
Nurse

Sara was born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska. She obtained her AD in Nursing at Northern Virginia College in 2016 and completed her BSN from Villanova University in 2019. Her nursing experience includes working in a variety of specialties that include GYN Oncology, Women’s Health, MedSurg, Mother Baby, Corrections, and Acute Psych.

Sara has been married for 18 years. Her husband is currently active duty in the Air Force and her family relocated to San Antonio from Hawaii in July 2025. Her greatest joys are her four children. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling.

My Why:

For the past five years I have worked full time in the military healthcare system and observed first hand the  struggles of our active duty and veteran populations when they are unable to receive adequate mental health support. Being a military spouse, a sister of an active duty solder, and a mother of a son in a military academy who will eventually serve-I feel the inherent desire to serve and support our service members-past, present, and future. Joining Warriors Heart allows me to use my skillset as a nurse to do just that. I look forward to being part of this awesome team.
