Service has always been at the center of Macy’s life. As a U.S. Navy veteran, former Department of Homeland Security leader, and service dog advocate, she has dedicated her career to supporting and serving others. Macy’s passion for working dogs began years ago through search and rescue, disaster response, and training pet and service dogs. She has experienced firsthand the incredible bond between humans and dogs and the healing, purpose, and unconditional support that dogs can provide during life’s most difficult challenges. At Warriors Heart, Macy is honored to combine her love for canines with her commitment to serving veterans and first responders. She believes deeply in the mission of Warriors Healing Warriors and understands the strength that comes from connection, shared experiences, and finding purpose in recovery. When she’s not working with dogs, Macy enjoys training for search and rescue operations, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her husband and two sons.
My life has always been rooted in service—serving my country, serving my community, and serving those who dedicate their lives to helping others. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to support warriors in many different ways, but some of the most meaningful moments have come through working alongside dogs. I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible ability dogs have to break down barriers, provide comfort, build trust, and create connection when words alone aren’t enough. The bond between a person and a dog can be transformative, especially for those navigating trauma, recovery, and life’s toughest challenges. That’s why Warriors Heart feels like home to me. It brings together two things I care deeply about: serving veterans and first responders, and the healing power of canines. I believe healing happens through connection, purpose, and community, and I am honored to be part of a team that helps warriors rediscover hope and strength through the mission of Warriors Healing Warriors.
