Sydney Sherman

LCDC

Sydney is an LCDC that has been working in the field since 2021. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She started off her career working with those who are reentering society after addressing legal issues, and worked with families to reunify after addiction impacted them. Later in her career she began working with adolescent clients that had been involved with the criminal justice system in Bexar and surrounding counties, and truly learned what it was like to treat addiction at its inception. She is passionate about helping others and believes in creating a safe, caring, and honest space where anyone can feel comfortable being their most authentic self.

My Why

My why is a huge part of not only who I am as a clinician, but also who I am as a human. Throughout my life I have witnessed the impact of mental health, addiction, and the stigma associated with both. I became a counselor because I wanted to be a part of the solution to a problem that was stealing the lives of so many people. I respect and honor the sacrifice that first responders have made in their lifetime and am dedicated to caring for them in any way that I can.
