Withdrawal symptoms can start immediately, leaving many with alcoholism addiction defenseless as they try to start the journey to recovery. Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms

Withdrawal symptoms are the body’s natural reaction upon the removal of an addictive substance from which someone has developed a dependence on. They can often include mild or severe symptoms which start to develop as soon as 4-12 hours and can last for more than a few days. This can ultimately result in the person rebounding towards alcoholism addiction once more if they attempt to do the process by themselves since these symptoms are often too much to handle alone.

Our medically-supervised detox programs help manage and treat the withdrawal symptoms associated with addictive substances. Alcoholism can often result in mild symptoms such as feelings of worry, nausea/vomiting, shaking and sweating. In certain severe cases, hallucinations and severe trembling can occur. Seizures are also possible and could result in fatal consequences if done without medical supervision.

Opiate withdrawal symptoms and other prescription drugs and illicit substances feature a variety of symptoms that range in intensity as a result of the drug in use and the intensity of the doses. Common withdrawal symptoms for prescription drugs or illicit drugs include abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, sweating, nervousness, seizures, and even death.

Managing withdrawal symptoms on your own is not recommended. This could lead to severe effects on your body and could prove fatal unless treated by a medical professional during the withdrawal process.

I’m extremely grateful to all of the staff members at Warriors Heart, as they have instilled a renewed confidence in my heart, mind, and spirit!!
