My Why:
My passion for mental health work grew from my own recovery journey from moral injury, substance use disorder, and PTSD. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, I found a renewed sense of purpose in helping others navigate substance use disorders, trauma, and other mental health challenges.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor–Resident (LPC-Resident) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I am humbled to serve at Warriors Heart, where I have the honor of supporting veterans, first responders, and other high-performing individuals. I strongly believe in the value of lived experience as a foundation for connection, trust, and healing.
I am also a passionate advocate for suicide awareness and prevention, committed to reducing stigma and helping individuals recognize that help, hope, and connection are always available. It is a privilege to welcome Warriors home, walk shoulder to shoulder with them in recovery, and remind them that they are not alone.
