Claire-Madeline Corso
Resident in Counseling
Claire-Madeline Corso, M.Ed., is a Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia, practicing under the clinical supervision of Madeline Vann, LPC. She earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary, where she completed a specialized course sequence focused on the mental health needs of active-duty service members and veteran populations.
Throughout her residency, Claire-Madeline has worked across the full continuum of care—from inpatient psychiatry to outpatient treatment—under the direct supervision of clinicians specializing in addiction, post-traumatic growth, moral injury, and grief. Her clinical foundation is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, allowing her to understand the self-protective and often self-destructive patterns individuals develop in response to emotional and relational wounds. She brings specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, approaching addiction and recovery through an attachment-informed lens, as well as integrative training in the treatment of post-traumatic stress and complex post-traumatic stress.
Claire-Madeline has developed and maintained cultural competency in the unique professional demands and lived experiences of public safety professionals and first responders through Academy Hour with Lighthouse for Public Safety and The Florida Firefighters Safety and Health Collaborative. Her work is grounded in deep respect for those who serve and an understanding of the cost of carrying responsibility, exposure, and sacrifice over time.
My Why:
Originally from New York, Claire-Madeline was significantly influenced by her grandmother. Her grandmother was first-generation Italian American raised by a single mother who, shortly after immigrating to the United States, saw all of her male children return to their homeland with the United States Army, fighting to protect their freedom. Growing up with this legacy shaped Claire-Madeline’s enduring curiosity about what it means to go to war, how service impacts family systems, and what we ask our warriors—and those who love them—to carry on behalf of the nation.
It is Claire-Madeline’s greatest honor to walk alongside you as you come home to a place of peace on your journey at Warrior’s Heart.
